This was made several years ago on my Bond. It's done in wedges that are decreased on each side and connected together using the seam as you go method. It was very fast and I made a couple of them. This is the plain one that we used when we set the lighted village up under the tree.

Christmas 2003, there's the skirt, but you can't see the edges. That's my grandbabies, Trinity, my daughter's daughter and Alex, my son's son. Cousins that only see each other a few weeks a year and yet you'd think they were brother and sister. They get along great for about 4 days and then it's fighting like cats and dogs :)

I can't believe my daughter found this photo of my baby granddaughter! This sweater was the first hand knit sweater I had ever made and it was a tiny bit of a complicated pattern. I think of all the things I have made over the years, I am most proud of this sweater. The yoke is a tiny cable and I can't remember what the body was, I want to say the texture was made from purl stitches every so often on the stockinette side. The actual sweater has disappeared so I can't look at it to see, perhaps I'll come across the pattern. The slightly puffed sleeves turned out soo cute too and those are little bow buttons. It was in a baby pattern book that I'm sure I still have someplace. The knitted pants she is wearing were done on my Bond ISM. Oh, this was Trinity's first Christmas in 2001.

Alex is wearing the hat, scarf and mitten set I knitted on my USM last winter, 2005. You can see the mittens in the picture on the left, you can also see that the hat was a little bit too small. The picture below shows the colors in the yarn on the scarf. This is Red Heart Kids crayon color but Grandpa has a matching scarf and he's no kid, well maybe at heart :)
I just realized that the yarn matches the Tide boxes behind him LOL!

The following spring, 2004, Alex asked for a bright color sweater, so this one was done in Red Heart yarn. He is rough on clothes and the Red Heart brand really holds up.

This Christmas Afghan was made on the USM for Christmas 2004, the pattern is the Mock Cable Afghan pattern found free on the internet and the edge is called worm trim. This is one of my favorite patterns because the look drastically changes depending on the yarn used. I've made if for umpteen gifts in as many different worsted weight/bulky weight yarns and it always looks great. I like to use a heathered or speckled yarn in all the same color, but I needed a splash of Christmas color.
